We accept the following categories:

• Fiction 

• Essay 

• Poetry 

• Playscript 

• Graphic Narrative 

• Cover Art (digital, photography, or scans of physical works)

• Religious Poetry  (Spring Award, endowed by the Roy A. Burkhart estate)

• Historical Fiction  (Spring Award, endowed by the Walter Barnes estate)

We hold Spring Annual Awards, these awards allow writers to submit work that may be too long for our other opportunities. Winners in each category receive a cash prize.

All reviews are blind, meaning only the QQ Faculty Advisor knows the identities of writers and artists until final decisions are made. QQ Staff review submissions for the podcast, spring magazine, and cover art award, while off-campus judges choose the winners of writing awards in a separate review process.
